NORMAN — The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and the University of Oklahoma Sutton Lecture Series will host “Humanizing Science: Lessons Learned from Artists,” a complimentary lecture from biologist Jamie Gillooly of the University of Florida, at 7 p.m. today. The event is free; a reception will accompany the event.
“Humanizing Science” will delve into Gillooly’s experience as a biologist working in an art department and the scientific training he gained from this experience.
Gillooly, who has worked on more than 50 published articles and four textbooks, also will discuss successful collaborations among artists and scientists in the laboratory, studio and classroom.
