NORMAN — University of Oklahoma students will join the ranks of 130,000 global test takers from more than 1,500 universities when they take the Bloomberg Aptitude Test from 2 to 4 p.m. April 18 at OU, Adams Hall, Room 300.
The free testing session will be hosted by Bloomberg LP, a global provider of financial data and news. Registration is required at takethebat.com.
Test takers will receive a detailed score report for resumes and interviews, and student profiles also will be placed into Bloomberg’s Talent Search job recruitment database.
The test features 100 multiple choice questions that evaluate students' abilities as relative to a career in finance. All questions on the test assess aptitude rather than knowledge, so background in finance is not necessary to succeed. No preparation is required, although completion of an introductory economics course is recommended.
While on-campus tests are free, the same test is available any time from a home computer at a cost of $69.
For more information, email Joel Pruett, Bloomberg ambassador, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
