Two OU journalism programs receive grant funds

NORMAN — Two OU Gaylord College of journalism programs were among 19 recipients of grant funds announced today by the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation.

The Oklahoma City-based foundation will distribute $1.9 million in grants this spring. At OU, recipients include $90,000 to the Oklahoma Scholastic Media Initiative and $39,000 to the Oklahoma Institute for Diversity in Journalism.

The foundation also awarded $432,890 to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation for the Breaking News & Reporting Terrorism Exhibit.
