NORMAN — The Norman Chamber of Commerce will host its next 35 South luncheon at at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Bricktown Brewery, 1 N. Oklahoma Ave. in Oklahoma City.
The 35 South Project was created to connect Norman residents who work in Oklahoma City back with their community through quarterly networking and learning lunches in Oklahoma City.
The city of Norman will elect new city council representatives for Wards 2, 4 and 6 (Ward 8 did not draw a challenger) on April 1. All city council candidates have been invited to speak at the February lunch.
Ward 2 candidates are Gary Caissie, Aleisha Karjala, Matthew Leal and Clint Williams.
Ward 4 candidates are William Hickman, Rhett Michael Jones and incumbent Greg Jungman.
Ward 6 candidates are Jerry Land and incumbent Jim Griffith.
Ward 8 council member Chad Williams also was invited to speak.
“Norman commuters rarely get the opportunity to meet or learn more about our city council and candidates for office,” John Woods, Chamber president and CEO said. “We hope that this lunch will bring together both candidates and residents to learn more about each other and issues that matter to these Norman residents as both commuters and active members of our community.”
The Norman Chamber welcomes anyone interested in learning more about Norman to attend the lunch. Lunch is $10 per person. Please RSVP to Angie Drury at 321-6270 or firstname.lastname@example.org. This quarterly lunch is presented by Bank of Oklahoma.
