Police: 1 dead, 1 wounded in Chickasha shooting

CHICKASHA — Police in Chickasha say a woman has been found dead and a man critically wounded in a shooting on the city’s southwest side.

Police told reporters that officers were called to the home shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday where they found the woman and the man with a gunshot wound to the head. Police say the man was hospitalized in critical condition.

No names were immediately released.

Police said the shooting is currently being investigated as a possible murder and suicide attempt.
