Students invited to art sale

NORMAN — The Arts Council of Oklahoma City is accepting applications for the Youth Art Sale, for artists ages 8 to18 who live in Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie or Seminole County.

The Youth Art Show is a juried show that will feature original artwork from approximately 30 students 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26 at Festival of the Arts.

Like the adult artists featured each year, the student artists will be present to greet customers and share their creative process on festival grounds in their very own booths.

Festival of the Arts is produced by the Arts Council of Oklahoma City and presented by Devon Energy and Chesapeake Energy. The 2014 Festival of the Arts will take place April 22-27 in Downtown Oklahoma City at the Festival Plaza and the Myriad Botanical Gardens. The event runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
