OKC police identify Friday shooting victim

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police have identified the victim of a Saturday shooting at a downtown club.

Police said Zachary Bowie, 30, of Spencer, was discovered at approximately 12:40 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound outside Club Social after officers responded to shots fired there.

Bowie was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, the suspected shooter was inside Club Social when he was confronted by security and kicked out. As he was leaving, he made threats toward security personnel.

Police said they believe the suspect left for a few minutes, returned with a gun and fired toward the crowd, hitting and killing Bowie. Investigators have not identified the suspect at this time.
