DENVER — The coroner’s office says the person killed in a massive weekend traffic pileup near Denver was a woman from Oklahoma.
In a statement Tuesday, the Denver medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 61-year-old Rebecca Newkirk of Stillwater.
Authorities said another 30 people were injured in the chain of wrecks on Interstate 25 that occurred as a band of heavy snow moved Saturday through south Denver.
Police said 104 vehicles were involved in crashes along a roughly two-mile stretch of the highway.
