NORMAN — From 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, the Oklahoma Memorial Union ballroom will be transformed into a land of boas and bow ties for the Women’s Outreach Center’s 10 annual Pink and Black Ball.

The semi-formal event gives students and the public a night out with dancing and food.

This year’s theme, “Boas and Bow ties,” brings a cosmopolitan experience to the event, which is a chance for the community to support the Women’s Outreach Center, a department that aims to raise campus awareness of breast health through education.

The Pink and Black Ball will feature a jazz band, live DJ, dance floor, photo booth, appetizers and a chocolate fountain. Guests are asked to wear semiformal attire, with pink and black attire. Boas and bow ties are encouraged.

Tickets for the ball are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online through stubwire.com. Tickets also will be sold at the Oklahoma Memorial Union from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the Women’s Outreach Center, Suite 247.

Raffle tickets will be on sale for $1 each or eight for $5. Prizes include a Bob Stoops signed OU football, personal training sessions at the Houston Huffman Fitness Center, restaurant gift certificates, a spa day and more.

All proceeds from the Pink and Black Ball go to the Women’s Outreach Center’s breast health education programs.

For more information about tickets, sponsorship or the ball, call the Women’s Outreach Center at 325-4929 or visit ou.edu/pinkandblackball.
