Cheerleading classes set

NORMAN — The Norman Parks and Recreation Department will offer instruction in cheerleading during the 2014 Winter Junior Jammers session.

The new program is being offered to children who are in third through seventh grades. Cheerleading instruction will be at Shock Cheer, 3400 Bart Conner Drive, and will be provided by the coaches at Shock Cheer, who will prepare the participants for School Cheer.

Cost for instruction is $95 per session. Sessions run from January through March. Cheer instruction will be 7 p.m. on Mondays. As part of the program, participants also can cheer during the Junior Jammer Basketball game during the winter session.
