CASA seeks volunteers

NORMAN — Court Appointed Special Advocates, serving Cleveland, McClain and Garvin counties, is in need of child advocate volunteers to serve the best interests of about 100 abused and neglected children in the community.

Advocates represent the youths in court proceedings and work to find safe, permanent homes — either back with their parents or in adoptive families.

A volunteer training session will be at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Norman Regional Health System’s education center, 901 N. Porter Ave. The 30 hours of training are free.
