Filing period opens with 4 candidates

NORMAN — Four individuals filed Monday for various city council seats. Monday marked the first day of the filing period.

Clint Williams reportedly filed for candidacy for the Ward 2 City Council seat Monday morning. According to the Cleveland County Election Board, Williams filed at 11:10 a.m.

Also filing for the Ward 2 seat on Monday was candidate Matthew Leal, who is reported to have filed at 3:53 p.m.

Gregory J. Jungman filed at 4:05 p.m. for the Ward 4 seat.

Chad Williams filed for Ward 8. According to the Cleveland County Election Board, Chad Williams filed at 12:55 p.m.,

Filing for the even-numbered Norman City Council seats opened at 8 a.m. Monday. The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
