Trips on a Tank Full campaign to kick off Monday in Purcell, offer spring break deals

NORMAN — Frontier Country Marketing Association will debut its popular Trips on a Tank Full coupon brochure in time for spring break.

The free brochure offers special discounts to tourist attractions around the 12 central counties of Oklahoma, known as Frontier Country.

The 2014 Trips on a Tank Full campaign will kick off Monday in Purcell and continue through March 14 in various cities of Frontier Country, like Choctaw, Stroud, Moore and Oklahoma City, with a spring break giveaway in each city.

Frontier Country Marketing Association staff will pick a member attraction or location each day to hide one suitcase filled with attraction tickets and other essential spring break items. Clues to find the suitcases will be given on the association’s Facebook page at facebook.com/FrontierCountry.

Frontier Country Marketing Association also will be at the mystery location each day to hand out free coupon brochures.

“With an abundance of events and attractions, Frontier Country is the perfect spring break destination,” said Sherri Rogers, executive director of Frontier Country Marketing Association. “This will be our third year kicking off our Trips on a Tank Full with the suitcase giveaways. People have had a lot of fun following the clues on Facebook, so we are continuing the fun for a third year in some different central Oklahoma locations.”

Coupons offered in the free Trips on a Tank Full brochure include discounts at attractions such as Frontier City, White Water Bay, Museum of Osteology, Andy Alligator’s Fun Park & Water Park, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum and the Oklahoma History Center.
