Cody’s Run set for April 19

NORMAN — Cleveland Area Rapid Transit, the University of Oklahoma as well as friends and family of the late Cody Ponder will host the second annual Cody’s Run in Norman, at 8 a.m. April 19.

Registration can be done online at facebook.com/codysrun.

Ponder lost his battle against cancer in November, but he hoped his experiences would inform the larger fight to eradicate cancer.

All proceeds from this year’s run will go directly to the Cody Ponder Emergency Endowment Fund established through The University of Oklahoma Foundation to benefit patients at OU’s Stephenson Cancer Center.

Cody’s Run will consist of a sanctioned 5K race and one-mile fun walk on the OU campus. Registration is $25. Organizer’s hope to raise at least $10,000 to match donations received to date.
