Primrose presents Leadership class grads

NORMAN — On Tuesday, the Norman Chamber of Commerce graduated both Leadership Norman and Tomorrow’s Leaders.

Over the past several months, participants attended interactive sessions covering a variety of topics including communication, education, personal leadership, quality of life issues, city and state government, health care and economic development. Diana Hartley and Dr. Roger Brown are Leadership Development co-chairs and oversee all Leadership programs.

At graduation, one class member from Leadership Norman is selected by peers to receive the Earl Sneed Leadership Award, presented by Arvest Bank.

This award honors Earl Sneed, a former mayor of Norman from 1960-1964, and recognizes the leadership qualities displayed in his role as dean of the College of Law at the University of Oklahoma, and as vice chairman of the Board of the Liberty National Bank in Oklahoma City.

This year’s recipient was Nathan Thompson. Thompson also served as class speaker, as well as, Matthew Welborn for Tomorrow’s Leaders.
