NORMAN — A Norman man was charged Tuesday with 11 counts relating to child sexual abuse in Cleveland County District Court.
Brock Gabriel Mason, 24, was charged with five counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, one count of lewd or indecent proposal to a child under 16, two counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology and one count of contributing to the delinquency of minors.
The incidents allegedly occurred between January 2012 and November 2013. The victim was between the ages of 11 and 13 at the time of the incidents, the charges state.
According to an arrest warrant filed with the felony charges, a Norman police officer in the Criminal Investigation Division had probable cause to believe Mason committed the crimes. The arrest warrant was signed Nov. 13, and Mason’s bond was set at $500,000.
Meghan McCormick, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, said Mason was booked into jail Saturday.
