Art Center seeks local chocolatiers for fundraiser

NORMAN — The Norman Firehouse Art Center is looking for local chefs, restaurateurs and chocolate artists to participate in its annual fundraiser, The Chocolate Festival, scheduled for Feb. 1, 2014.

Participants will support the Firehouse art education programs while marketing their business to a large crowd from the community. Applications will be accepted until Thursday. Call 3299-4523 for more information.

As the only fundraising event for the Firehouse Art Center, all proceeds from ticket sales support the children’s art education programs and art exhibitions.

Located at the National Center for Employee Development, the festival was voted “Best Local Festival” in the 2011 Reader’s Choice Awards; “Best Charity Event” in 2011 from Oklahoma Magazine; has been featured in Southern Living magazine; and won the 2009 Frontier Country Grand Award for Outstanding Food Festival in Central Oklahoma.
