Brooks-Jimenez no longer working with Rodriguez family

(Continued)

NORMAN —

However, in previous interviews with The Transcript, Brooks-Jimenez stated on several occasions that he asked for the video. He said it wasn’t until he allowed the OSBI to talk to Nair that they could finally watch it. He said they were unable to get a copy of it.

Brooks-Jimenez said he doesn’t know what the Rodriguez’s family next step is as they wait to see if charges will be filed. He just knows that after four months of being attached to the case, it will not involve him any longer.

“I think she talked to people and felt she needed to make a move,” Brooks-Jimenez said. “Actually, she didn’t talk about other counsel. I want to stress that. The correct way is saying that she no longer wanted me to represent her. I respect that decision and I wish her well.”
