Sample ballots available for Primary Election

NORMAN —  Sample ballots now are available at the Cleveland County Election Board office for voters who want to get a preview of what will be at stake in the Primary Election on June 24. Bryant Rains, Secretary of the Cleveland County Election Board, said that sample ballots can be viewed on the website,, or at the Election Board office, 641 E. Robinson, Suite 200 in Norman, during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sample ballots also will be posted outside every precinct polling place on election day.

Starting with the State Primary Election, the Cleveland County Election Board will offer early voting for state and federal elections at two locations: The Cleveland County Election Board, 641 E. Robinson, and the Moore Norman Technology Center, South Penn Campus, 13301 S. Penn, Oklahoma City.

On Nov. 1, 2013, a state law took effect which allows counties with 100,000 or more registered voters to designate more than one location as an in-person absentee polling place for early voting in state elections.  Early voting is allowed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday prior to Tuesday statewide election dates. Early voting is no longer allowed on Mondays.

The early voting dates and times are:   

· Primary Election

June 19 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

June 20 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

June 21— 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

· Runoff  Primary

Aug. 21 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aug. 22 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aug. 23 — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.


· General Election

Oct. 30 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 31 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nov. 1 — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For those who live in the Moore and South Oklahoma City area, House Discrict 91 races show a full line-up of Republican candidates. The current District 91 house member, Mike Reynolds will term limit out. Reynolds is running for Cleveland County Commissioner.
