Girl killed when hit by vehicle

COLEMAN — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 6-year-old girl was killed when she was struck by a vehicle on State Highway 48 in the town of Coleman in Johnston County.

An OHP report says Terrin Barrett of Coleman died at a Durant hospital where she was taken following the accident just before noon Thursday.

The report says the girl walked into the southbound lane of the highway and was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured.
