OSBI investigating officer-involved shooting

ALTUS — The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Altus.

The Altus Police Department requested the OSBI investigation following the Tuesday morning shooting.

The OSBI said a man reportedly fired a weapon at police and an unknown number of officers returned fire, possibly striking the man.

The OSBI said once the investigation is complete, the case will be submitted to the district attorney’s office to determine if any charges will be filed.
