NORMAN — Cimarron Opera will present “The Gondoliers,” an English comic opera from librettist W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, from July 11-13.
Showtimes for “The Gondoliers” are 8 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 12; and 2 p.m. July 13. Performances will be at the Nancy O’Brian Center for the Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman Ave.
The Gondoliers is one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most well-loved operettas. Set in Venice, it’s a story of mistaken identities. A triangle of love, mischievousness and intrigue follow this operetta to an ironic and glorious ending as only Gilbert & Sullivan could.
The performance will feature singers from the local community, aspiring professional singers and singers from several of the universities around the metro area.
Tickets are on sale, and can be purchased online at cimarronopera.org or by calling the box office at 364-8962. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
