Vehicle pursuit ends in OKC

NORMAN — A suspect was arrested following a vehicle pursuit by Norman Police that led to Oklahoma City during the early morning hours on Saturday. The suspect faces a variety of charges to include Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstructing an Officer, and Felony Eluding a Peace Officer.            

The Norman Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of the 100 block of East Mosier on Saturday at 2:36 a.m. Upon arrival, officers contacted several individuals and discovered that there were a number of crimes being committed including felony drug charges and counterfeit money

violations, according to police reports.

During the course of the investigation, one of the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and a police pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit went westbound on Robinson Street and then northbound onto I-35.  Once the suspect was on I-35, he continued north into Oklahoma City where he eventually left the roadway and crashed in the area of NE 36th Street.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and treated on scene by emergency medical personnel. He was later transported to an area medical facility for further medical care for his injuries.

No officers were injured in the pursuit.
