NORMAN — Women charged with robbery
Three women were charged conjointly with robbery by force or fear Monday in
Cleveland County District Court after allegedly assaulting a woman and taking her purse.
Moore residents Shayna Elese Olivin and Evelyn Sheryl Anderson, both 24, and Shanae Whitley Bruner, 19, of Shawnee, all admitted to being involved in the incident, according to the affidavit filed with charges.
The victim was in the 2400 block of Nottingham Way in Moore when she was approached by the subjects. The victim was physically assaulted and the women forcefully took the victim’s purse, the affidavit said.
The three women then entered a vehicle and as they drove away, they threw the stolen purse out of the vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries, the document states.
Both Olivin and Anderson were identified by the victim as being involved in the robbery and admitted to being in the vehicle when the purse was thrown out.
Bruner admitted to being at the scene and observing the robbery, as well as being in the vehicle when the purse was thrown out, the affidavit said.
Moore man charged with arson
A Moore man was charged with arson Monday in Cleveland County District Court after allegedly setting fire to a vehicle.
Blake Lynn Self, 19, was charged with third-degree arson. His bail was set at $15,000 or could be released if he was not held on other charges, according to the affidavit filed with the charge.
Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire earlier this month at 10300 S. Western Ave. in Oklahoma City in Cleveland County. Fire investigators determined the fire to be intentionally set, the affidavit said.
The victim said Self set the fire and additional witnesses contacted investigators providing them with detailed information about the incident that Self had told them, the affidavit said.
