Norman use tax receipts were $230,436 which includes $32,615 in Public Safety Sales Tax funds. Those collections are also up from last year’s total use tax deposit in May of $203,156.
The Moore sales tax deposit this month was $2,578,192 compared to $2,103,464 for the same period last year. Eddy said that represents a 14.4 percent increase over the May distribution for last year.
Cleveland County sale tax receipts for May were $654,430 up 8.76 percent from last year’s collections of $601,724. Use tax was also up, with Cleveland County’s May receipts at $31,534 compared to $29,097 last year.
“Anything we get is above our budget,” said Cleveland County Commissioner Rod Cleveland. “It’s covering the maintenance and operations of the county jail. I think it’s a good barometer of our business in Cleveland County. We continuing to be busy and grow.”
Other Cleveland County receipts include:
· Lexington with $30,159 compared to $24,341 last year and use tax of $3,184
· Noble with $135,395 compared to $100,321 last year and use tax of $6,103
· Slaughterville with $11,052 compared to $8,802 last year and use tax of $641.
