The Moore sales tax deposit this month was $2,578,192 compared to $2,103,464 for the same period last year. Eddy said that represents a 14.4 percent increase over the May distribution for last year.

“Anything we get is above our budget,” said Cleveland County Commissioner Rod Cleveland. “It’s covering the maintenance and operations of the county jail. I think it’s a good barometer of our business in Cleveland County. We continuing to be busy and grow.”
