Oklahoma Twisters Cheer wins two titles

NORMAN — The Oklahoma Twisters Allstar Cheer in Norman recently won two competitive national titles.

The team of 28 cheerleaders first traveled to Dallas in February to compete in the National Cheerleaders Association, where they won the National Title and a paid bid to travel to Disney World to compete at The Summit National Championships.

Here, the team competed against 18 teams from championships across the United States. The team finish in sixth place and moved to the final day of competition.

Coaches Jeff LeForce, Craig Hallmark, Megan Dean and Shauni Osburn made a few changes to the routine on the final morning and the team won the National Championship. The team also was awarded championship rings.

The Oklahoma Twisters are selecting teams for the 2014-15 season. They have teams from beginner to advanced ages 3 and older.
