Saltcreek Casino to host job fair

NORMAN — Job seekers will have four days to apply, visit

Officials with Saltcreek Casino announced a series of job fairs throughout Grady County during October.

Approximately 150 positions — ranging from food and beverage servers, dealers, marketing personnel, gift shop clerks, security officers and housekeeping staff members — are expected to be filled.

Saltcreek Casino is located seven and a half miles north of Chickasha along Highway 81 near Pocasset. It is scheduled to open later this year.

“It always is an honor to affect positively the communities in which we live,” said Justin Yahola, Saltcreek Casino general manager. “Saltcreek Casino creates a significant number of jobs in the county. It is my hope this is the beginning of a continued effort to attract additional tourism traffic to the region, enhancing Grady County’s already bustling economy.”

Casino officials will be on site and ready to interview and hire potential candidates. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older and are encouraged to bring a valid photo ID. Preparation for computer-based and pre-employment testing is encouraged.

Job fairs will be at the following dates and times at the Grady County Fairgrounds, 500 E. Choctaw Ave. in Chickasha at Highway 62 and Interstate 44:

· Wednesday — 9 a.m. to noon, 2 to 6 p.m.

· Thursday — 9 a.m. to noon, 2 to 6 p.m.

· Tuesday, Oct. 9 — 9 a.m. to noon, 2 to 6 p.m.

· Wednesday, Oct. 10 — 9 a.m. to noon, 2 to 6 p.m.
