Art show to benefit medical fund

NORMAN — A limited showing of “Seeing Red,” paintings by Norman resident Mike Simmons, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Shevaun Williams Photography Studio, 221 E. Main St.

The reception, show and sale will benefit the medical fund of Simmons’ grandson, Anderson Chance Smith. The child, born in 2011, was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has had four open-heart surgeries and six cardiac catherizations. Anderson will eventually need a heart transplant.

Refreshments and hors d’eouvres will be served.
