Firefighters save home in Noble

NORMAN — Slightly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, a house fire occurred at 4741 Northridge Lane in Noble.

The house was vacant when firefighters arrived, and fire was coming through the roof, Noble interim fire chief Bob Hall said.

There were no injuries. Hall said the damage was contained.

“We rolled all three of our engines and called for Slaughterville as well. We got there quickly and we had plenty of help from Slaughterville. So, it really worked out well,” Hall said.

“It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Everything just worked out right,” Hall said. “It was the top of the roof that caught on fire. The fire didn’t actually cause that much damage. It was bad for the homeowner, but it could’ve been a lot worse.”
