Masked man holds up business

NORMAN — A masked man held up a business Thursday evening in the 2500 block of North Porter Avenue on, police said.

Officers said the man entered the Dollar General at 2501 N. Porter Ave. at approximately 9:12 p.m. and demanded that the cashier give him money. 

The subject was armed with a small black pistol and took an undetermined amount of cash.

He was described as a white male approximately 5-foot 7 inches in height and weighing about 175 pounds. He wore a dark ski-type mask, black jacket with a hood and blue jeans.  One witness stated that he left the scene in a dark-colored (possibly black) four-door car in an unknown direction.

Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The incident is under investigation.
