Col. Alain Poisson, who is currently director of Multi-Domain Command and Control, the Air Force Strategic Integration Group, HQ U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, will assume command during a ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday.

The current wing commander, Col. Geoffrey Weiss, will be going to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The 552nd Air Control Wing is the main flying wing for Tinker Air Force Base with the Airborne Warning and Control System, or AWACS, aircraft.

Poisson will be responsible for Air Combat Command's fleet of E-3 Airborne Warning & Control System aircraft and ground-based Control & Reporting Centers supporting combatant commanders worldwide.

He will lead over 3,800 men and women at four Air Force bases and manage resources that include 31 E-3 AWACS aircraft and two CRCs valued at $16.1 billion.
