Sunday, Senior Minister Rusty Tugman will begin the sermon series "Signposts" with a lesson on discipleship during worship at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Bible classes will meet at 9:45. First Christian Church

Sunday, the church will celebrate Pentecost with "The Stories We Tell," from Acts 2:1-21, with Rev. Gary Hardwick preaching at the 8:40 and 10:45 a.m. worship services. Church school will meet at 9:30. Vespers service will be at 5:15 p.m. Monday in the chapel, with Rev. Gary Hardwick offering the evening homily.

First Congregational Church of Norman, UCC

Sunday, the church will celebrate Pentecost by encouraging those in attendance to wear something red, which the symbol of the Holy Spirit and Pentecost celebrates the gift of the spirit and the birthday of the Christian Church. "Draw the Circle Wide" will be the title of the sermon and Rev. Wheeler will read Acts 2:1-21, the story of Pentecost, and offer a message that will explain how the Spirit's main work has always been about including "outsiders" as "insiders" within the family of faith. Worship is at 4pm and adult Education begins at 5:10pm.

First Presbyterian Church

On the Day of Pentecost, Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Michael East will preach "Holy Confusion" during 10 a.m. worship. A Religion and Science Forum will be at 7 p.m.

Goodrich Memorial UMC

Sunday, the church will celebrate Pentecost. Rev. Desi Sharp will preach "I [Heart] Goodrich," from Acts 2:1-21, during woship at 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship. Sunday School classes will be at 9:30. The youth will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Vacation Bible School will be freom 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 17-21.

Memorial Presbyterian Church

Sunday, worship at 10:55 a.m. will emphasize Pentecost, the birthday of the church. Rev. Tracy Evans' sermon will be "The Spirit Gives Life," from Acts 2:1-21. Sunday School for adults and children is at 9:30.

On Pentecost Sunday, Rev. Jakob Topper will preach "Pentecost: The Ultimate Surprise Party," from Acts 2:1-21. The pastor will have Children's Time. From 9 to 11 a.m. June 15, the church will host Wheels & Coffee in the parking lot. Donuts and coffee will be provided.

Sunday, Jay Loyd from Ft. Smith, Arkansas, will begin a weeklong revival, with services each weeknight at 7 p.m.

On Pentecost Sunday, the church will commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, from Acts 2:1-21, as they were gathered in the upper room, and reflect on the work of the Holy Spirit today. Holy Communion will be offered at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Two young people will affirm their baptisms in the Rite of Confirmation in the early service. Women of the Word will meet at noon Friday.

Sunday, Assistant Pastor William Franks will preach from Romans 1 at the afternoon service.

West Wind Unitarian Universalist Congregation

Sunday, Rev. Andy Jacobs will preach "Change, Death and Taxes" during worship at 11 a.m. A congregational potluck will be at noon. A CUUPS Litha Celebration and potluck will be from 7 to 9 p.m. June 21, led by the Sons of the Goddess from Oklahoma City. Litha is a celebration of the Summer Solstice.
