George and Margaret Jennings of Oklahoma City recently celebrated their 73 wedding anniversary.

Mr. Jennings met Margaret McKinney while attending school in Meeks, just east of Moore, where they lived for most of their lives. They were married Oct. 31, 1933, in Cleveland County’s Robin Hill area.

Mr. Jennings served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital, where he worked as a carpenter. Mrs. Jennings also retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a cook. Her hobbies include canning and quilting. Mr. Jennings enjoys raising livestock and farming.

The couple have five children: the late Jim Jennings and Barbara Breedlove, Deloris Matthews, George Jennings Jr. and Richard Jennings, all of Oklahoma City.

They have 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
