Courtney Claire Vaughn and Arthur Leeland Stroup Jr., both of Blanchard, were married Sept. 20 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of Arthur and Karla Stroup in Norman.

Parents of the bride are Jerry and Tricia Vaughn of Goldsby. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Rowley of Norman and the late Jim Rowley and Dale and Gloria Vaughn.

Parents of the groom are Brenda Stroup of Edmond and Arthur and Karla Stroup of Norman. He is the grandson of Barbara Janet of Noble and Alan Teague of Norman.

The bride wore a strapless, white gown with an empire waist and a four-foot-length train. The gown was made of satin with an overskirt of tulle with silver beads trimming the bodice and the bottom of the gown. She wore ruby red shoes. The bride's hair was in a half up style and she wore a short veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and yellow centered daisies.

The maid of honor was Lacey Vaughn of Glenpool, the bride's sister. She wore a strapless gown of indigo blue with silver trim and silver strappy sandals. Like the bride, she wore her hair in a half up style.

The flower girl was Danielle Broughton. She wore a white dress with a red sash and ruby red shoes.

Escorting the bride down the aisle were her parents. Her father's attire matched the groom and best man.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with red tie and red handkerchief. He, along with the best man, wore a boutonniere that included a red rose and yellow centered daisies.

The best man was the groom's brother Kyle Derrick of Norman.

Music for the wedding was provided by Kayla Thomas on keyboard and the bride's cousin, David Vaughn on guitar, both of Norman. "Somewhere over the Rainbow," was the processional. Also included in the ceremony was "At Last," "Wonderful Tonight," "Come Away With Me," and "Fever."

Attending the guest book was the bride's cousin, Hannah Vaughn of Tulsa.

The reception followed under a white tent. The tables were covered with black tablecloths with center pieces of red roses and daisies.

Cake and punch were served by Tamra Starr of Goldsby and the bride's cousin, Micheala Vaughn of Norman.

The bride graduated from Washington High School in 2000. She is a lab tech at Immuno-Mycologics Inc. in Norman.

The groom graduated from Norman High School in 1999. He is employed by Comtest Inc.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and established a home in Blanchard.
