A boat caught on fire Saturday night at Lake Thunderbird causing it’s three occupants to exit the craft and enter the water.
No one was injured, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Saturday near Turkey Pass boat ramp.
Robert Holaday, 36, of Yukon was enroute to Turkey Pass boat ramp to load his boat when he smelled the odor of fuel. The boat, a 1973 Century Open Motor Boat, then caught fire and Holaday and his two passengers jumped into the water, the report states.
The passengers, a female and a juvenile, were wearing life jackets. The cause of the incident was listed as equipment failure, the report shows.
