The mission of the Cimarron Circuit Opera Company is to provide Oklahoma's aspiring singers a forum for their talents and opportunities to gain training and stage experience while providing cultural enrichment and education to Oklahoma.

In the spring of 1975, the late Thomas Carey and Carol Brice Carey founded the Church Circuit Opera Company, which was renamed Cimarron Circuit Opera Company in 1981.

The Careys sought opportunities for aspiring artists (young and old) to sing on stage. They also sought to bring superb operatic productions to Oklahoma.

By presenting vital and viable performances of music by many of the genre's foremost composers, CCOC strives to enhance and enrich social and cultural life.

Repertoire is selected with both performer and audience in mind and economically produced.

The operas are of high artistic quality and performed in English.

Based in Norman, Cimarron Circuit Opera Company continues to perform, touring opera throughout the state touching the lives of more than 100,000 children since its inception.

Other audiences served include youth, families, young adults, older adults, institutionalized persons, those with disabilities and the general public.
