The Cleveland County Master Gardeners will host a class on collecting seeds at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.
In addition to regular Saturday garden tours, the class will help attendees recognize when seeds are ready, as well as how to collect and store them. Trained Master Gardeners also will cover other issues and tips for seed gathering.
Each participant will receive a seed collection kit, with hands-on, guided collecting in the CCMGA Demonstration and Teaching Garden. In addition to information, participants can take home all the seeds they gather.
The Demonstration and Teaching Garden is in the Southwest Corner of the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.
