The Vajradakini Buddhist Center for Meditation will host meditation classes in Oklahoma City at 4012 NW 12th Street on Saturday mornings.

This is the third year that VBC has been holding meditation classes in Oklahoma. They are part of the New Kadampa Tradition, a Mahayana Buddhist Tradition.

Classes are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and guests are asked to arrive a few minutes early. Upcoming topics of discussion include "Depression" on Oct. 29 and "Anger" on Nov. 5.

This series is called "Medicine for the Mind ? The Healing Power of Meditation." Every day we experience some type of mental or physical problem, from slight irritations to chronic disease. Buddha gives us special methods to overcome these problems and to create a harmony within our body and mind. By practicing these simple methods we can cure our mental and physical pain and experience a deep sense of inner peace. Each class includes teaching, meditation and discussion.

The class fee is $10 per session or $30 per month. Students and seniors are $5 per session or $15 per month.

Everyone is welcome.
