Baby Crafts, art activities for very young children and the grown-ups who love them, will kick off its fourth season 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster Ave. During the 90-minute Baby Craft sessions, families can play and create together for as long as they like.

The unstructured Baby Crafts sessions at the library are designed to give children up to age 48 months a safe environment in which to explore and learn.

Every Baby Craft event, held monthly September through March, includes a variety of activities for infants and toddlers to enjoy with their parents and caregivers.

The child-adult pairs may choose to glue colorful collage pictures, practice with pipe cleaners and foam shapes, work out a little frustration on the pounding table, or create with paint stamps.

Every event also includes playing in tubs filled with sand, bird seed, oatmeal or rice, and “writing” on chalk tables.

For more information about Baby Crafts, call children’s librarian Susan Lura at the library, 701-2600. For information about the other programs and services the library offers, call or visit the library or log on to
