A motorcyclist was taken to a Norman hospital Monday afternoon following a wreck in the 3700 block of East Franklin Road, police said.
Norman Police Lt. Shawn Hawkins said the wreck was reported about 4:10 p.m. A motorcycle and delivery truck were the only vehicles involved in the crash.
Police said the motorcycle was heading east on Franklin Road. The truck was traveling westbound on the same road.
The delivery truck had stopped in the road to back into a private driveway on the south side, police said. That’s when the motorcycle struck the truck.
Hawkins said the motorcyclist suffered a head injury. EMSStat took him to Norman Regional Hospital. His condition was unknown.
The delivery truck driver didn’t complain of any injuries, Hawkins said.
Neither person’s age or name was released Monday night, pending family notification, Hawkins said.
He said Sgt. Scott Fennell and Master Police Officer Brent Barbour are investigating Monday’s crash.
