Political activist Norma Sapp will speak on the progress of the state’s medical marijuana petition at the Tyner Cornbread and Beans luncheon Aug. 1 at Catering Creations 3750 West Main.
The values of medical marijuana and the failure of the U.S. “War on Drugs” will be discussed.
Sapp owns a small farm near Little Axe. As a mother and grandmother, she has experienced the family destructiveness of the current marijuana laws. She is the State Director of OKNORML a national organization organizing to end the prohibition of marijuana.
Lunch begins at 11:15 a.m. with the speaker beginning about noon. Guests will select lunch from Catering Creation’s full buffet. The meeting is open to the public.
