Friday's Transcript will take on a Centennial look.

The newspaper will reprint the front page of the Nov. 21, 1907, Norman Transcript in honor of the state's 100th birthday.

The newspaper was a weekly edition in 1907 so the Nov. 21, 1907, paper was the first printing following statehood. The proclamation by President Roosevelt and inauguration of Gov. Haskell were big news but so was the closing of the saloons at midnight.

Friday's paper also will include coverage of the territorial legislature meeting in Guthrie.
