The Slaughterville Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary will host its annual spaghetti dinner benefitting the Slaughterville Volunteer Fire Department from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14.
The event will be held at the Slaughterville Town Hall/Fire Station No. 3, at Highway 77 and Slaughterville Road. Everyone is encouraged to attend the all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner complete with salad, rolls and cake.
Peter Macias, musician, will provide entertainment. Numerous door prizes donated by area merchants and individuals will be given away during the evening. An auction is set for 7 p.m., and a Browning 12-gauge shotgun will be raffled off at 8 p.m.
Hampton-Noble Masonic Lodge No. 291 contributed matching funds for the event. Monies raised at the dinner will be used for training, equipment, firefighter insurance, fire school scholarships and other needs of the all-volunteer Fire Department.
“Many businesses in the local area have been wonderfully generous in their support,” Marsha Blair, town administrator, said. “Last year, even though it rained, the whole community came out and supported us. It was a lot of fun.”
