An Oklahoma City woman who was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident Saturday in Norman has been released from the hospital.

OU Medical Center marketing coordinator Natalie Scott said Sheila Starr, 23, of Oklahoma City, was released Monday from the facility.

Norman police said Starr was a passenger in a 1998 Ford Explorer that left the roadway and rolled near the intersection of 156th Avenue NE and Franklin Road at 5:52 p.m. Saturday.

According to a traffic collision report, Antonio Cordell Mendoza, 23, Oklahoma City, was driving the sport utility vehicle southbound on 156th Avenue NE. Mendoza told police that he entered the northbound lane to pass a vehicle. He lost control of the Ford Explorer and the vehicle rolled an unknown amount of time.

The report stated Mendoza wasn't injured in the crash. Three passengers were riding inside the vehicle. Only Starr was treated for injuries.

Police said Starr suffered head, trunk, internal, leg and arm injuries. She was transported from the scene by EMSSTAT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

According to police Mendoza was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under suspension. He was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.

Court records show Cleveland County prosecutors charged Mendoza Monday with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under suspension. No court date has been set.
