PDQ chicken closes

PDQ has announced the closure of its Oklahoma locations.

On Sunday, the fast food chicken chain, whose name is short for “People Dedicated to Quality,” closed restaurants in Oklahoma City, Edmond and Norman. The Norman location was at 2180 24th Ave NW in University North Park.

In a public statement released Monday, the chain did not offer any details regarding why the closures have been made.

"In regard to the closings, the stores were operated by our local franchise group, and they have been dedicated to the Oklahoma community and our brand,” the statement reads. “In the best interest of the brand, the decision was made to close all three stores. We are saddened by the news and will miss seeing our loyal Oklahoma guests every day. "
