Two bodies were found inside a submerged Ford truck in the 300 block of NW 27th St. in Moore on Monday, Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis confirmed.
Moore police responded after someone called about 5:30 p.m. and reported seeing a truck sticking out of a small pond. A wrecker pulled out the truck, and two men were found deceased inside. Lewis identified them as two men who were reported missing by their families in July 2018: Charles Moore, 67, and Larry Matthews, 65.
Lewis said the pond was about 14 feet deep, and the truck likely has been in the pond since the time they were reported missing, based on the state of the bodies. A medical examiner is working to determine cause of death.
The Moore Police Department is currently investigating the deaths.
