Mariah Lopez will finish her college career in the Pac-12.
Arizona softball announced Lopez will transfer to the program on Tuesday. She'll be immediately eligible for the 2020 season.
Lopez leaves Oklahoma after three seasons and three-consecutive Women’s College World Series appearances.
She finishes her Sooner career 51-2, which is good for a program-best career winning percentage.
The rising senior pitcher boasted a 1.61 ERA over the course of her OU career, struck out 355 batters and walked 55 in 295.0 innings worked.
Lopez primarily served as a Day 2 starter for the Sooners during the 2019 regular season.
She split time in the circle with All-American pitcher Giselle Juarez and OU’s primary closer Shannon Saile. Juarez emerged as OU's ace, however, in the postseason.
Both Juarez and Saile will return in 2020 for their senior seasons. OU brings back freshman right-hander Brooke Vestal as well.
OU’s 2019 signing included three pitchers — RHP Macy McAdoo (Tuttle, Okla.), LHP Alanna Nelson-Thiede (Carlsbad, Calif.) and RHP Olivia Rains (Pryor, Okla.).
