Jalen Hurts did something out of the ordinary after Oklahoma's game against Kansas, delivering an opening statement at his press conference the following week.
Only, it doesn't seem so unordinary now. Hurts, with a small bandage on his hand, did it again Monday following OU's win at Texas.
Here's what he said:
"How are you all doing today? The 24-hour rule is obviously over. I think there’s a lot of substance like last week. I said there’s a lot to learn from last week’s game and the same applies this week. I always talking about going out there and playing our standard and playing our brand of football. I think one thing I can take away from this game is how pleased we are with the mental toughness that we showed in this game. Just talk about overcoming adversity and, most importantly, playing together as a team. I think we’re not where we want to be. But we’re going to continue to take positive steps in the right direction and continue to work hard every day at practice. We’re going to continue to build from here on out and try to be the team we want to be and the team we know we can be."
