Oklahoma redshirt sophomore kicker Calum Sutherland was arrested for public intoxication at 4:46 a.m. Saturday, according to a Cleveland County Sheriff's Office arrest log.

Sutherland, 19, appears to have been released. His name does not appear in a detention center inmate search.

The OU Daily first reported his arrest.

The sheriff's office did not immediately respond to request for a police report. The Transcript has reached out to OU for a statement.

Sutherland took over after three years of OU's kicking situation was stabilized by Austin Seibert, now with the Cleveland Browns.

The Keller, Texas native won the starting role over Gabe Brkic in the preseason. Brkic handles kickoff duties.

Sutherland is 23 of 23 on point-after attempts. He missed his first two field goal tries but rebounded with his first two career makes last week at UCLA — kicks of 22 and 32 yards.
