The latest novel from the Harry Potter series will go on sale early Saturday. Be prepared for a storm of hype. Bookstores are planning late-night parties at 12:01 a.m. Saturday for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

It's the sixth book for British author J.K. Rowling. The Oklahoma City Journal Record newspaper reports 10.8 million copies will be released. The fifth book in the series sold 5 million copies in the first 24 hours.

Ms. Rowling's works have also been made into movies.

For kids and adults who don't want to wait up, advance copies have been on sale by dot.com booksellers since Dec. 21. The newspaper reports Amazon.com has pre-sold more than a million copies.

Amazon guarantees Saturday delivery or a refund. Look out for the USPS trucks and those from UPS. They'll be on a one-day mission that rivals any Christmas rush.
